Projects and activities of the Sansthan:
1) The Sansthan under the UP state government’s Village and Khadi department’s scheme, sponsored and distributed charkhas to 300 women in villages in and around district Sitapur every year for 5 years. The yarn made by these women was bought back, woven into cloth and retailed from Khadi Gramodyog shops.
2) Blanket and sari distribution is done by the Sansthan twice every year to the needy and widows in Agra and in the villages in and around Agra. This is done twice a year, just before Diwali and in April. ( Image 1)
3) Sansthan under its mission of social awareness creation and women empowerment, organizes and holds seminars and runs campaigns on current issues
4) The Sansthan is getting a Bodhh institute constructed in Lucknow for propagating the teachings of Buddha. ( Image 2)
5) The Sansthan is helping women from Sultanpur and Agra district to retail their ecofriendly baskets woven out of Moonj grass. The team has curated concepts and designs for the Moonj baskets in a way blending traditional skills with modern use products which are more acceptable in current times. ( Image 3). The ecommerce platform Toha assisting these ladies in marketing the products has been awarded by Earth Day Network ( Earthday.org) the “ Earth Day Network Star Women’s Group” Award. 6) 1) The Sansthan has been training girls in Shopian District J&K under Project Toha Social since Feb 2021. They have conducted

Sansthan has also provided sewing machines to all the trainees at the end of the course to enable them to set up their own establishment and become financially independent.( Bill for machines given attached) All the expenses were born by the Sansthan from their own resources via donations and executive committee member contributions. For this the venue and other support infrastructure was provided by the Army stationed in Shopian. The Sansthan also assists these trainees and other beneficiaries mentioned at pt 5-7 above market their products through an ecommerce platform founded and operated by 3 of its executive committee members.

a) Project Title: Toha Social (Empowerment of Women in Balapore Shopian , Kulgam and Phulwama, Kashmir)
b) Project Goal :
1) To continue training girls in AGS Balapore Shopian, and open 2 new centres in Kulgam and Phulwama to provide training in
* Cutting and stitching (3 months course),
* Fruit processing (one month)
* Computer training (one month)
And provide them initial capital in the form of machinery to start their own venture, tie up marketing and help them in becoming financially independent.
c) Project Objectives : To empower more than 200 girls/women to become financially independent thereby improving lives of the their immediate families and community.
